Become a Certified Meditation Teacher – 200-Hour Vedic Meditation & Pranayama Course in Rishikesh

This 24-day, 23-night program invites you to step into a transformative journey to become a certified and confident meditation teacher. Through our comprehensive 200-hour teacher training course, you will deepen your own practice and learn to share the art of meditation with others in a structured, systematic way.

Explore a variety of meditation techniques that cater to all levels, and gain a deep understanding of the powerful effects meditation has on brain waves and the nervous system. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher with over 10 years of wisdom, you will receive the tools to guide others on their path to peace and self-awareness.

Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a 200-hour Meditation Teacher Training Certificate from Rishikesh Yog Dham, an internationally recognized yoga school (RYS 500, RYS 300, RYS 200). This certification qualifies you to teach meditation anywhere in the world.

Day 1: Orientation and Introduction to Vedic Meditation

  • Overview of meditation and its significance
  • Understanding the philosophy of the Patanjali Yoga Sutras

Day 2: Asana, Alignment, Shatkarma, and Pranayama

  • Practicing gentle movements and asanas to prepare the body
  • Learning shatkarma and pranayama to balance body temperature
  • Learning meditative postures for both beginner and advanced practitioners

Day 3: Foundational Practices for Meditation

  • According to yogic philosophy, the mind can achieve one-pointed awareness when the body is still and comfortable
  • Observing the natural flow of breath to create a foundation for calming the mind

Day 4: Mantra Meditation

  • Introduction to mantra (sacred sound)
  • Practicing the AUM mantra (universal sound) for mental clarity

Day 5: Visualization and Yoga Nidra

  • Progressive body relaxation to calm the nervous system
  • Guided visualization to enhance awareness of the surroundings

This 200-hour course will cover all the essential topics and techniques needed to relax the body and deepen your connection with the surrounding environment and your relationship with it. The full curriculum will be provided upon arrival, along with a personal study guide and a reference yoga text.
