Rishikesh Yog Dham is a well-known authentic yoga school in Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India, surrounded by the peaceful Himalayas and the Ganges River. We offer traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher training courses for beginners and advanced learners alike, certified by Yoga Alliance USA.
Programs:
We provide 100, 200, 300, and 500-hour yoga teacher training courses, blending ancient yoga teachings with modern methods for a complete learning experience.
Accommodation:
Students stay in comfortable private or shared rooms with attached bathrooms and hot water, designed to support a simple, minimal, yogic lifestyle.
Meals:
Three healthy, vegetarian meals are provided daily, following a fresh and nourishing diet to support both body and mind. If you have dietary needs, please inform the kitchen staff for adjustments.
Extras:
Wi-Fi is available, and nearby you’ll find organic stores, 24×7 convenience stores, and vegan/vegetarian cafes. Sundays are free for personal study, rest, or exploring the area.

Respectful Behavior:
- Show kindness and respect to teachers, fellow students, and staff.
- Embrace learning with an open mind, free from comparisons to past experiences.
- Follow the school’s rules to maintain harmony.
Personal Accountability:
- Look after your belongings and take responsibility for any damage to school property.
- Keep your space tidy and secure your valuables.
What’s Not Allowed:
- Non-vegetarian food, alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
- Staying overnight outside the school requires permission from the administration.
- Visitors are only allowed during breaks or after daily sessions have ended.
- Keep noise levels low—no loud music or disturbances.
Clothing:
- Dress modestly in comfortable clothing that covers the body well.
- Good choices include loose pants, track pants, sleeved shirts, or traditional attire like salwar kameez.
- Avoid tight, short, or revealing outfits.
Mobile Phones:
- Use phones only in designated areas outside the Yoga Hall to keep classes distraction-free.
Class Participation:
- Attend all sessions and arrive on time.
- If you’re more than 10 minutes late, request the teacher’s permission to join and catch up on missed material with help from peers or the course teacher.
- Repeated tardiness or absences without a valid reason may result in removal from the program.
Food Rules:
- Enjoy the institute’s simple, vegetarian meals. Outside food isn’t allowed, except for dry snacks or fresh fruits.
- To avoid attracting wildlife like monkeys, do not eat during classes or bring food into the Yoga Hall.
Consequences:
Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave the program without a refund.
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the policies for payments, cancellations, health, and responsibilities. Please review them carefully before joining.
Social Media & Photography:
- The school may take pictures and videos of classes and activities to promote its programs and celebrate student memories.
- If you prefer not to be included, please step aside during filming and inform your coordinator.
Payment:
- To reserve your spot, pay the full course fee upfront via bank transfer or a payment link sent to your email.
- You are responsible for any extra fees or commissions (e.g., bank or PayPal charges).
Rescheduling:
- If something unexpected happens, you may apply your payment to a future course within one year.
- Please notify the school at least three weeks before your course start date.
Cancellation Policy:
- Course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person.
- If you cancel due to a serious reason, you may apply your payment to a future course within one year, but you must inform the school at least three weeks in advance. Otherwise, the fee may be forfeited.
- If the school cancels a course, you will receive a full refund.
- The school is not responsible for any other costs, such as travel or lodging.
Health & Safety:
- Tips shared at the school are not medical advice. Please consult your doctor about your ability to participate.
- Inform your teacher if your health changes in a way that might affect your practice.
Pregnancy:
- Most courses are not designed for pregnant students, except for the Pregnancy Camp. If you are pregnant and interested in another program, please consult the school first.
Indemnity:
- The school does not provide insurance for participants.
- By joining, you agree not to hold Rishikesh Yog Dham, its staff, or teachers responsible for any injury, loss, or damage during the program, including unforeseen incidents.
Course Materials:
- Manuals, notes, and handouts are for your personal use only.
- Sharing, copying, or posting these materials publicly is not permitted.
- All teaching materials remain the property of the school.
Media:
- Do not take photos or videos during practical sessions unless the teacher gives permission.
Evaluation & Certification:
- Completion of the course does not automatically guarantee certification.
- Students are evaluated based on teaching skills, behavior, progress, and attendance.
Refund Policy:
- The school has a strict no-refund policy for all programs.
- Management reserves the right to refuse or terminate a student’s participation at its discretion.
